Technical Sales Representative

Position Summary

We are actively searching for a full-time Technical Sales Representative for our Grand Junction, CO location.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Achieves sales objectives by providing solutions to clients on civil construction challenges in a competitive bid environment.
  • Initiate and implement a sales strategy to effectively capture market share in a geographic area
  • Willingness to travel in Colorado, New Mexico and Wyoming
  • Develop technical presentations and present to prospective clients and/or the engineering community
  • Prospect for new clients
  • Probe and evaluate product alternatives for clients to provide the best value for each project
  • Determine and coordinate delivery of materials to ensure on time success to projects
  • Process customer orders, including creating the ticket/paperwork, ordering materials and scheduling deliveries to customers
  • Coordinate inventory management with the operations staff and the warehouse managers to ensure proper stocking levels and considering inbound lead times for all products and Triton supplies

Qualifications for the successful candidate include:

  • Ability to learn and master technical construction and environmental products to provide education to the client on their applications
  • Proactive sales approach
  • Must be comfortable working with numbers and utilizing basic sales skills, including closing a sale and asking for the business
  • Motivated self-starter who is confident and independent
  • Must be detail oriented, able to multi-task and problem solve
  • Must have efficient knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Experience in the construction and oil and gas industries a plus
